Missions Garage Sale

October 18, 2008

A garage sale in support of missions is scheduled for October 18. If you have items to contribute to this effort please indicate this on your bulletin insert. Those donating clothing are asked that the items be clean and in good condition. Please do not bring items to the church until Sunday, October 12. Should you need items to be picked up from your home, pick-up will be scheduled the week of October 12. You can volunteer to assist with the garage sale by contacting the church office (swbc@southwestbaptistchurch.org) Proceeds from the sale will go towards our 2008 International Mission Offering and to support church mission trips in 2009.

2008 Home Mission Offering

Our 2008 Home Mission Offering emphasis continues through the month of September. Southwest’s goal is to raise $3000 in support of mission work both locally and around the country. We ask that every member share in the responsibility of reaching this challenging goal. Every gift counts and every gift given in love is pleasant in God’s eyes.

Our goal includes support for the following:
$750 - New Orleans Mission Project
$750 - Bosnian Ministry
$500 - Annie Armstrong Offering
$500 - Lydia’s House
$500 - Sunshine Mission
