FALL FESTIVAL

OCTOBER 29

Get ready for “Trunk or Treat!”  Mark your calendars now for Wednesday, October 29, from 6:30pm until 8:00pm for our family Fall festival.  Volunteers will be asked to bring their cars or small pickup trucks, open the trunks and lower the tailgates, and give away candy and prizes.  Sign up to bring your vehicle or to donate candy by contacting the church office.  A box for candy donations is available in the foyer.

CHURCH-WIDE

RUMMAGE/GARAGE SALE

...in support of missions is scheduled for October 18.  If you have items to contribute please contact the church office.  Those donating clothing are asked that the items be clean and in good condition.   Please do not bring items to the church until Sunday, October 12.  Should you need items to be picked up from your home, pick-up will be scheduled the week of October 12.  Proceeds from the sale will go towards our 2008 International Mission Offering and to support church mission trips in 2009.

WOW EVENT

SATURDAY, OCTOBER 18

The new business association of businesses on Watson Avenue (nicknamed What’s on Watson, or WOW) will be hosting a neighborhood event on our church front lawn and parking lot.  This will be a great time for our church family to interact with local businesses and meet our neighbors – introducing them to Southwest Baptist Church!  There will also be all kinds of wonderful food.  Make plans to be a part of this event, and to come and help with our Missions Garage Sale on the same day (see the above announcement!)
